The family and friends of Hunter have created this charitable event to honor a remarkable young man and his passion for golf. From Hunter’s father Tony:
"My beautiful son was born on July 23, 1998. He became an angel on July 7, 2011, after a short but courageous battle with Leukemia. He touched many people’s lives in the short time he was here with us. I believe he still does, and he will certainly be there smiling and golfing with us on the day of the tournament as we help other beautiful children fulfill their dreams. I can’t think of a better way to honor Hunter."
In June of 2011, Hunter attended the Philadelphia Eagles’ annual “Fly for Leukemia” event in Montgomery County. This was Hunter’s last day out of the hospital and he was able to spend it on the golf course. The next day he went into the hospital and passed away a month later.
